It's only been the 2nd week of me being a provost..And within this 2 weeks, many things have happened. The Detention Barrack could maybe be one of the few places where you will actually see a lot of unexpected things. Well..I'm gonna share some of the stuffs here.. Romance. There's a rule in the detention barrack which allows the detainees to have a Next-of-kin visit every Wednesday and Fridays. And one of the detainee, i shall call him Faizul, always have a regular visitor. But the weird thing is, they never ever speak to each other during the visit. It's always the same thing. The girl starts crying and Faizul would just sit there not saying anything. He wouldn't even look at the girl. Being the kaypo that i am, i decided to ask him who the girl was and why she kept on crying whenever she sees him. It turns out, the girl was Faizul's ex fiancee. They had been together for 3 years before they broke up. Apparently, what led to them to break up was because his fiancee always cheated on him. The thing is, she had been cheating on him since 1 year into their relationship and he always knew abt it but didn't know who the other guy was. And he kept quiet abt it and he just shut his heartache away and was always there for her through her hard times and stuff. But he kinda lost it when he found out that she had been dating his best friend and that one time of weakness..Just that split second..Costed him 4 months of his freedom..He left camp without permission and he even assaulted a guard personnel on duty. The sad part abt it was that, he was such a nice guy. At first look, he doesn't look like one of those crooks who deserved to be locked up. And now his ex fiancee always visit him during the visiting hours, begging and wanting him to take her back. When i asked him whether he would. I only got a "Would you?". The saddest part was..Everytime i talked to him abt this matter..You can actually see his great deal of sadness..You could actually tell how much heartache he is going through..His eyes would change..His body posture starts to curl up. And he would just look down.. But he's all better now though. After talking to him, he told me that he actually wanted to give his ex fiancee another shot. I mean..Everyone deserves a second or third chance..Everyone makes a mistake..Life will always lead us astray. Sometimes..It takes guys like us to make the girl realise what is right. Haunting Ok..This is a bit creepy..As you know, my duty includes me working night shifts. Well, there actually was an incident that happened last week that is making me dread working night shift tml.. 1st night I was doing my prowling duty with my partner edy. And since it was our first night duty, we were both kinda on the edge cos we practically dunno what to expect. We finished our first round of prowling and was abt to return back to the first floor when Edy started running away from me. Me being an idiot, thought he was just joking around and decided to just walk all the way to the ops room. When i saw Edy, his face was pale and he told me that he actually saw a head rolling behind me. He ran off and expected me to follow him but i didn't. When he reached the ops room first, he looked into the cctv and saw that there was a figure following me right behind my back..I thought he was joking at first..but when he rewinded the tape..Well...let's just say that i didn't actually stayed long enough to find out what that thing was.... 2nd night This was a bit scary too..I was doing prowling duty(again) when my SGT radioed me. A thing that you should know abt my SGT. He is a religious man and is those type of person who doesn't joke around and stuff. So whatever he says is always the truth. Ok..back to the story..My SGT radioed me and told me to tell the detainee in cell 25 and cell 26 to sleep and stop doing what they were doing. Well, me and edy were abt to make our way there when i suddenly stopped and realise that there was actually suppose to be NO ONE in cell 25 and 26. Those 2 cells are the ones which are closest to the jalan bahar cemetery..Haha..No prizes for anyone who guessed that me and edy ran all the way back to the OPS room though. haha
